Pluggable Processor Modules

Pluggable Processor Modules (PPMs) are for use with the CubeSat-compatible Motherboard Module (MBM). By adding a PPM to an MBM, you create a CubeSat-compatible C&DH module built around a microcontroller.

PPM A1 has a 16-bit MSP430F1612 microcontroller with 55KB internal Flash memory and 5KB internal RAM, and runs at 7.3728MHz.

PPM A2 has a 16-bit MSP430F1611 microcontroller with 48KB internal Flash memory and 10KB internal RAM, and runs at 7.3728MHz.

PPM A3 has a 16-bit MSP430F2618 microcontroller with 116KB internal Flash memory and 8KB internal RAM, and runs at 7.3728MHz.

PPM B1 has an 8-bit C8051F120 microcontroller with 128KB internal Flash memory and 8,848B internal RAM, and runs as high as 100MHz. PPM B1 also has an on-board, external, 128KB static RAM for use as XRAM.

PPM D1 has a 16-bit PIC24FJ256GA110 microcontroller with 256KB internal Flash memory and 16KB internal RAM, , and enables up to 16MIPS operation via its 8MHz external crystal. PPM D1 also has an on-board, external, AT25DF641 64Mbit SPI serial Flash memory chip.

PPM D2 has a 16-bit dsPIC33FJ256GP710 microcontroller with 256KB internal Flash memory and 30,720B internal RAM, and enables up to 20MIPS operation via its 8MHz external crystal. PPM D2 also has an on-board, external, AT25DF641 64Mbit SPI serial Flash memory chip.

PPM E1 has a 16-bit PIC24FJ256GB210 microcontroller with 256KB internal Flash memory and 96KB internal RAM, , and enables up to 16MIPS operation via its 8MHz external crystal. PPM E1 also has an on-board, external, AT25DF641 64Mbit SPI serial Flash memory chip.
