AQMAAR offers comprehensive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing to verify that satellite subsystems and integrated spacecraft can operate in their electromagnetic environment without introducing or suffering from intolerable disturbances. Using EgSA's state-of-the-art semi-anechoic chambers, we perform full qualification campaigns for conducted and radiated interference.
Key Capabilities:
- Radiated Emission & Susceptibility (RE/RS): Verifies the device does not emit excess RF noise and can withstand external RF fields.
- Conducted Emission & Susceptibility (CE/CS): Tests interference propagated through power and signal cables.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): High-voltage discharge simulation (up to 30kV) to test robustness against static buildup.
- Full System Testing: Capable of accommodating equipment, subsystems, and whole satellites (e.g., MisrSat-2).
Chamber Specs (EgSA):
- Frequency Range: 30 Hz to 18 GHz (Antennas/Amps covered).
- EMI Receiver: 10 Hz – 26.5 GHz (Rohde & Schwarz ESR 26).
- Signal Generation: 9 kHz – 3.2 GHz (R&S SMC100A).
- ESD Simulator: 30kV discharge capability (IEC/EN 61000-4-2 compliant).
