The Dcubed Micro Release Nut (mD3RN) is a Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) based release actuator designed to secure sensitive equipment during launch and safely release it on orbit. The Milli Release Nut constrains tensile axial loads and represents one of the smallest, most powerful Hold Down and Release Mechanism (HDRM) solutions on the market. They are easily resettable, allowing for repeated use across numerous test campaigns.
