AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver is a tracking system for vessels, which is their main method for collision avoidance.

TOTEM SDR gathers and stores in its database those frames sent from boats, which can then be retrieved and downloaded, providing reports and voyage related information. This closed payload has been successfully deployed in several missions and counts with flight heritage.

TOTEM AIS decodes the 4 channels of the AIS standard (156-162 MHz) and provides the following information:

  • Track and decode ship information
  • Static information
  • Dynamic information
  • Voyage related information
  • Short safety related messages

The AIS payload bundle includes:
