Orbotic Systems
SpaceWorks’ line of reentry devices (RED) are on-demand payload return capsules that enable low-cost, autonomous reentry from Earth orbit. The RED product line provides high-frequency and precise downmass capabilities to support novel material development, microgravity experimentation, and on-orbit sample collection. The capsule-shaped devices accommodate customizable payload masses, payload configurations, and thermal management requirements, and utilize a SpaceWorks’ proprietary TPS, called Nova-F, capable of withstanding the high temperatures associated with reentry. The RED systems nominally support returning 6-50 kg of payload from space to anywhere within the contiguous United States in under 24 hours.
